Testimonials

I can't recommend Michele Strickland highly enough. She works as part of a great team of treatment providers, and is excellent at what she does. She worked patiently and thoroughly with me through intake, treatment completion, aftercare, and throughout the entire process of working with my lawyer to set up an informal administrative hearing with the Secretary of State. With her years of experience working with lawyers and similar hearings, she knew exactly how to prepare me and how to work with my lawyer to help me obtain a restricted driver's permit. On top of everything, I could tell from day one that Michele really cares about the people she provides treatment for, and will really go to bat for the people who put in the work and take their treatment seriously. She's been quick to respond to every message I've sent, whether it be a question about something in her expertise, or flexibly allowing me to reschedule treatment times to make working my full time plus job and ongoing treatment a viable possibility. Thank you so much for all you've done to help me, and all you continue to do! I'll definitely be by the office to say hello when my license is eventually fully reinstated. Hope this helps even a fraction of the amount you've helped me!

Best always,
Nate

Dear Michele and Mr. T:

Thank you for working on this program — the testimonies are powerful and so needed. The entire experience has been scary, impactful and extremely remarkable. I wish you all the best.

Sincerely,

Valerie

I'm so glad that I found TCI for my DUI classes. The counselors and support staff are all really knowledgeable and compassionate. The classes are educational, interesting and give me the tools that I need to deal with my situation.  The group discussions help me realize that I'm not alone and that I can learn from the consequences of my DUI. Thanks TCI!

Hi Michele,

Thank you so much for your support along the way. You were a tremendous help throughout my journey and provided me with the resources and tools I can use in my day-to-day life to become the best version of myself. I appreciate you and everyone at TCI for the time and effort you each put in to helping lift up myself and others who go through your program.

Thank You,

JM

I would have to say that my biggest support group right now is TCI. Honestly people in the group have been my best support so far. People that are in the same or similar situations as me would be my biggest support. After many classes with Jeff and TCI I have learned a LOT. I've done classes for my last DUI and it was honestly no help whatsoever. That was more of just showing up and getting your time done and leaving as if it seemed like the ones leading the groups didn't even want to be there. My family is always there for me but in this case I understand after learning in TCI that family can't really be your best support group due to the fact that they don't really know how it is to deal with it. I was fortunate to join TCI rather than another group like last time, the reason being is that after hearing stories about many others I realized that I truly did have a problem and it was just continuing to get worse day by day and it was slowly taking me over without me even realizing it. After the accident I decided to quit drinking on my own will but if it wasn't for TCI I could have easily started back into my original pattern and I'm grateful that this group has informed me on how bad it can really get with addiction. I have chosen to be completely abstinent after TCI because I have heard stories from other members that have stopped drinking and then when they think they are ok and they can "control" it they just go right back to where they started. What I've learned during my time with TCI is that anyone can change, but you have to accept the help. It is there if you want it.

Sincerely VP

I completed my court ordered treatment and aftercare plan with Treatment Center of Illinois. I chose them cause they were the closest to me. This was my fifth dui and had a lot of time to spend there, I had obviously been through these classes before. Michelle Strickland was the instructor there and for me was perfect. She was professional, caring, understanding and Strick (she how I did that Strickland)!! Which I had not been used to at other companies dealing with these types of sensitive issues in the past. I’m 3.6 years sober now thank to the education I’ve learned and have since recommended anyone I come across dealing with these issues to use Treatment Center of Illinois services. I’ve told people they are wasting they’re time and money going anywhere else.

Soberly yours,

Matthew

Treatment Centers of Illinois led by Michele Strickland has put together an amazing environment for the road to recovery. TCI offers a variety of different meeting times and days that can accommodate anyone’s schedule. The entire staff is extremely friendly and eager to help. I was very apprehensive to attend treatment, but after week one I looked forward to going back. The sessions always help me focus on sobriety and living a better life. Tony (Mr. T) is my main counselor, and he always keeps the meetings fun with lots of open discussions. I have struggled with alcohol addiction most of my adult life, and TCI has now provided me with the help and tools to keep my addiction bay. I would recommend Treatment Centers of Illinois for anyone who is considering help with Alcohol addiction.
