DUI Counseling & Education


After our team conducts a full assessment and assigns a risk level to your case, we’ll get you started with classes. In order to remain in compliance with the court, and for the chance to regain your revoked driving privileges, you must complete all recommended courses. 

Minimal Risk (I)

  • 10 hours Risk Education


Moderate Risk (IIM)

  • 10 hours Risk Education
  • 12 hours Early Intervention
    (Must be completed over a 30 day time frame - (1) 3 hour session per week)


Significant Risk (IIS)

  • 10 hours Risk Education
  • 20 hours ASAM Level 1 Outpatient Counseling
  • 6- 2 hour sessions Aftercare (1x per month)


High Risk- Level III

  • 75 hours Intensive Outpatient ASAM Level II Counseling
  • 20 hours ASAM Level 1 Outpatient Counseling
  • 12- 2 hour sessions Aftercare (1x per month)

INVESTIGATIVE ALCOHOL & DRUG EVALUATION


When a driver license is revoked for a reason other than DUI such as felony in commission of a motor vehicle (drug and gun charges), flee and elude, violation of 6:20 of the liquor control act, boating or snowmobiling alcohol related arrest or summary  of suspension placed for without DUI charge, they will be required to attend a Hearing with Illinois Secretary of State to determine driving relief. 


Before this hearing can take place you will need to obtain an Investigative Report which will assess your relationship with substances and may or may not recommend education, treatment, or driver safety school.  We can assist you with this process, it begins by calling our office and speaking with one of our counselors 630-705-0556 you will need a current copy of your Illinois Driving Abstract for consultation.

It may be difficult for you to comprehend how you ended up requiring an “Investigative Alcohol and Drug Assessment.” Treatment Centers of Illinois is a company that specializes in providing this kind of assessment for the Secretary of State. It's critical that you receive your alcohol and drug assessment from a knowledgeable and authorized provider. Your Inquiry Alcohol and Drug Assessment must be done properly and thoroughly. Unfortunately, a denial and/or reevaluation will result from the smallest variances or an evaluation conducted incorrectly.
